The goal of this project is to develop a blended learning lab module focused on soil classification for Introduction to Soil Science (APBI 200), a campus-based and online course. The labs will also be complimented by online self-guided tutorials and quizzes. The materials will build upon the online resource, Virtual Soil Science Learning Resource, and one of the objectives of the project is to raise the profile of the discipline of soil science and the soil science group in the Faculty of Land and Food Systems and Forestry both within UBC and nationally and internationally.
The online learning resource and website will available in January 2014.
