The project “Your Chinese Learning, Your Way” aims to make learning Chinese outside of class more flexible for students. Examples of this include offering flexibility in deadlines for exercises and quizzes, providing more than one format of exercises and quizzes, and providing different ways to communicate with native speakers and other language learners. Placing exercises, quizzes, and some lectures online will free up some class time for more cultural discussions. The transformations will impact the beginning Chinese courses, CHIN 101 in September 2013 and CHIN 103 in January 2014.
